Döhle Corporate Academy (DCA) is a conceptual idea to promote training and education related processes within Döhle Group. The underlying thought was to establish a roof to cover diverse activities regarding training, education and career development for land and fleet personnel at PETER DÖHLE.
Regarding our fleet personnel DCA supports the strategic HR planning through competency based management in order to ensure a steady personnel growth from inside. Once being integrated into the DCA life cycle, you can expect a module-based training & education concept applied throughout the whole professional career which exceeds the requirements according to STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping), but goes along with enhanced educational topics, corporate aspects and leadership development.
Started as a pilot project in 2011 in the Philippines – our implemented Career Path Concept allows for best possible preparation to cope with the new professional and interpersonal challenges of working on board. In the future it shall be expanded to further locations around the globe providing a customized career development program to fit the needs of the PD fleet as well as local requirements.
